Glenview Park Golf Club
Experience pure golfing enjoyment at the Glenview Park Golf Club. Beautifully landscaped with an extensive variety of trees, shrubs and flowers, this 18-hole, 6,113 yard par 70 course features a choice of three bent grass tee boxes on every hole. The Glenview Park Golf Club offers amenities of a private club but is open to the public and close to home.
Since 1955, when the Glenview Park District purchased the Chesterfield Golf Course and began operating it as the Glenview Park Golf Club, the course has been continually upgraded and improved to add to your golfing enjoyment.
After an extensive renovation, Glenview Park Golf Club re-opened to the public on July 24, 2015. Soon after the renovation, our yardage and overall course rating/slope was adjusted based on the Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA) rating team assessment of the course. Once the course was fully grown in it became necessary to re-evaluate individual hole handicaps and assign the most to least difficult holes a rating of 1-18.
Throughout the 2017 season scorecard data was collected an analyzed per the USGA specification to help determine the assignment of individual hole handicaps. Analysis of the data concluded there were a number of holes that changed in difficulty as well as a number of holes that remained unchanged. These changes are reflected on the new scorecard which will be introduced beginning on Monday July 2, 2018.
A typical season starts in mid-March and ends mid-November changing with current weather and seasonal conditions. Once open for the season the course and clubhouse are open from dawn to dusk 7 days a week.
